NFL Playoff Picture and Predictions

By start I think we could really almost start the playoffs today. The end of the regular season is going to be (Yawn) pretty much a bore. But let's break them down anyway.



AFC W-L
New England 12-0 The Number One seed is a lock.
Indianapolis 10-2 Unless a big Pitt win over NE this weekend they get the bye.
Pittsburgh 9-3 Playing good football, Timlin is leading this team to big things
Jacksonville 8-4 As long as they don't ply Indy they are set.
San Diego 7-5 Win their division get a home game luckily.
Cleveland 7-5 Offense plus no Defense equals no playoffs. Not so fast!
Tennessee 7-5 A tougher schedule puts Tennessee on vacation.
Buffalo 6-6 It's nice to dream, but they are just not strong enough yet.


First Round-
Pittsburgh Vs Cleveland- The Browns have never been here before, at least not these Browns. But their Offense is tough and they could really pull off the upset. They lost to Pittsburgh by 27 at Cleveland, but only lost by 3 2 weeks ago. It will be a good game, Pittsburgh wins 35-31.

Jacksonville Vs San Diego- SD gets a home game but they don't get a favorable matchup. They better hope that Rivers learns how to hit receivers by then. Jacksonville will run right through them and will get to the QB. The Chargers lose at home and replace 7 coaches again????
Jacksonville wins 24-13

Divisional Round-
New England Vs Jacksonville- Jacksonville will give them a ride, but who are we kidding, this team was built for the playoffs. New England may or may not be perfect going into the playoffs, but they will win big at home over Jacksonville. 38- 10 and the spy train continues.

Indy Vs Pittsburgh- It is hard to say who will win. Indy is better, more experience, way better QB. Their defense is just good enough to keep them in this game and get another shot at the Pats. Dungy wins a coaches battle, 28-24.

Championship-
Indy Vs New England- I can't believe that we had to wait 20 weeks to watch what everyone knew was going to happen. New England pulled off a win on Indy's home turf earlier in the year. Indy has to go into Boston to try and repeat their championship. Most people think its impossible, but New England is so old. They will be tired and beat up. They won't last to the Super Bowl. They may not have a line backing core by then, because they are getting too old. Indy wins in a shoot out and quite possibly one of the most exciting games ever, 41-38.

NFC
Team- W-L
x- Dallas 11-1 ughhh.. they have the home path to the Super Bowl
Green Bay 10-2 Favre aka Jesus is back and must be popping pills to stay this good.
Tampa Bay 8-4 Weak division, weak team, winning QB.
Seattle 8-4 It is sad to watch them win the West.
NY Giants 8-4 They stink, and won't go anywhere, but they are in.
Minnesota 6-6 They can't win these big games yet. OUT!
Detroit 6-6 Too tough of a closing schedule. Out!
Arizona 6-6 They are so close to being real, but they still make it by winning out. 6th seed!
Carolina 5-7 QB problems killed them, they are out.
New Orleans 5-7 Reggie Bush isn't a number one
Washington 5-7 Sean Taylor's death was tough for this team to handle. They are out.
Philadelphia 5-7 Donovan could make the playoff push, but for this case they are out.
Chicago 5-7 What happened, oh yea the runners up curse. Out.


First Round-
Arizona Vs Seattle- Wow this is a terrible game. Let's hope the real Kurt Warner shows up, and saves us from watching Seattle more than one weekend. Seattle can't stop the offense of Arizona, and Arizona can stop Seattle. What does that mean? 31- 13 Arizona wins.

Tampa Bay Vs NYG- Another terrible game. The NFC should just skip the 4 teams that make it to the Wild Card games and just play from the Championship. Tampa wins, Eli throws three picks. Bucs win 13-10.

Divisional Round-
Arizona Vs Dallas- The young guns run out of steam and Dallas rolls, nuff said, 35-10.

Tampa Bay Vs Green Bay- But what about Brett Faavvreeee? Brett wants this more than anyone can understand. That may be enough. Favre is a player, but Garcia is a winner. Favre wins the battle with Ryan Grant, Greg Jennings, and Donald Driver in his corner. Green bay 24-10.

NFC Championship-
Dallas Vs Green Bay- Dallas gets this on their home turf, but Green Bay is who rolls into Dallas leaves their mark. Everyone will be rooting for Jesus (Favre) and he will be scoring and jumping around like an 8 year old when the ice cream man comes. Green Bay stomps Romo and the Boys 38-17.


Super Bowl-
Green Bay Vs Indy. Preview to come later when my predictions are right! Stay tuned.
