The Winter Meetings are over, and now the movement may be slowing down a little. Well some would think, but now after the GM's were talking for a couple days, they can settle down at home and make some moves. Agents got a feel for good asking prices and clubs got a feel for what the price would be for trades. So what will happen now? Here is some news.

Barry Bonds-
Barry wants to play next year and I really believe he will. I can not believe that a club would subject themselves to the media and legal issues surrounding him. But the Oakland A's have a team mathematical equation. They have a load of pitching, that they will one day trade for younger pitching and prospects. But they do have pitching. They have a couple solid bats, and solid defense. Then they add one really big bat for the DH position. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But it depends on the DH. Last year, Mike Piazza failed. But he is terrible. Frank Thomas helped them win, and he had a great year. Jason Giambi did the same over and over. Now, Barry Bonds will be that bat. If he plays, he will be in Oakland.

Baltimore Orioles-
The Baltimore Orioles are in separate trade talks about left-hander Erik Bedard and shortstop Miguel Tejada. The Seattle Mariners have offered outfield prospect Adam Jones in a package deal for Bedard, according to a high-ranking Mariners official. In addition, the Orioles are in serious talks with the Houston Astros, who have offered shortstop Adam Everett, second baseman Chris Burke and a prospect for Tejada, according to an Astros executive. The bottom line is the Orioles are trying to start over. I think they will move both men for the right deals, and then also see what they can get for Melvin Mora. The 3rd base market is really open and both Tejada and Mora can play the position. They are most valuable right now, and moving them makes the most sense. They could however get more if a team is desperate come the trade deadline. The Phillies could be that team if they stick with their platooning idea.

Dontrelle Willis-
The Tigers scored six and decided to go for two. The AL is scared. But not so fast. Did they really want both Cabrera and Willis? Sources are saying that Willis is available. The Mets might be the most interested team. The Tigers may have been forced to take both players, and may be looking to get some prospects back after trading a bunch to Florida. The Mets had no shot at either player from the Marlins since they are in the same division.
