Starting with the AL:
AL East:
Yankees 5 games behind the Red Sox. The Red Sox pulled off a better comeback when they made their World Series Run. It will not happen! Their starters will not allow it. They have only 3 games left against each other and that won't be enough to take over the Division.
Schedule Comparison: Equal, heavy AL East schedules for both teams.
AL Central and AL West are both closer than the AL East but the leaders (Cleveland and LA) are both hitting their baseball peak. They will both runaway with their divisions leaving the losers to battle with the Yankees for the Wild Card. (see bottom)
NL East:
The Phillies trail the Mets by 2 games in the NL East race after a 4 game sweep. Possibly the biggest part about taking 4 games, is the way they did it. They might have taken the steam out of the mets with 2 9th inning wins. Who will win? It may come down to the schedules;
Schedule Comparison: Both NL East heavy schedules with a couple NL games in between.
The differences are, the phillies play 4 with Colorado H, 3 St. Louis A, and one extra Away at Washington.
The Mets have 3 with Cinnci A, 3 with Houston H, 1 with St Louis H, and one extra Away at Florida.
I guess it is a preference but they look pretty even to me. The difference is the Mets beat the easy teams and the Phils sometimes struggle. The three game series in New York in September may make the difference.
NL Central: 3 way race with the Cubs leading, Brewers 2.5 behind and the Cardinals 3 back.
This division will be decided mostly head to hear. The only thing that can stop the cubs are the distractions from injuries. It's theirs to lose and I really don't think they will.
NL West: Arizona leads SD by 1 game with the dodgers back 4. SD and LA are playing much better baseball. Look for the Pads to take this division over.
Wild Cards
AL will come down to Seattle and the Yankees with the Yankees eventually taking over.
NL should be the NL East loser vs the NL West loser. This one is too close to call right now.
World Series preview
LA Angels Vs the NL East winner. It should be the Phillies.

I am Superfan
Super Fan- A person or persons who believe in their sports team to win and that they have an effect on their winning; Mostly a fan of sports teams but any person who is willing to dress not normally (for sports commonly face painting and body painting) for the sake of the team, book, or movie would be a super fan; A person who will pull the sake of the good from a 45-0 lose of their favorite team.
I am Super Fan, my obsession for my teams and total lack for normal human behavior never goes unappreciated.
I am Super Fan, if you put my team against a natural disaster such as a Tsunami or Hurricane, I would pick my team to not only cover the spread, but win convincingly.
I am Super Fan, if I felt like wearing a clown mask, my teams jersey, and no underwear to the game would help my team win, I would.
I am Super Fan, I am the guy that you had to move your kids away from to enjoy the game.
I am Super Fan, I hate your team, but not only do I hate them, I hate their families and hope that their children lose use of important body parts so they can't follow in your foot steps.
I am Super Fan, I will believe that my team will make it when they are 7 games out with 15 to go, when they have no shot and you give them no shot.
I am Super Fan, the leader of the good people, the people that cheer for the same team I do, the developer of youth in possible Super Fans of the future.
I am Super Fan, the guy who sits in the same seat, with the same jersey and same underwear in hopes that it will inspire my team to win.
I am Super Fan, I will bring a jersey out of retirement, a Mike Mamula jersey for that matter, in hopes that it will bring a W on this weekend.
I am Super Fan, I have so many more Holiday's than you do, every weekend, every weeknight every day that my team plays, aren't you jealous?
I am Super Fan, and your not, you never will be, and I am better than you.

Great post brother from another mother
Thanks for not picking the Cubs to win it all this year. Good man. I hope they win in 2009, though. But not this year or next year. I must see them go 100 years without winning a title!
